Lenten Suppers, Wednesday, February 23, 2005

Rev. Cedell Raggs, pastor of Mt Olive AME Church in Slidell, speaks on “ The Meaning of the Cross for Today” as one of our weekly series of Lenten Suppers.

Boy Scouts campout in Percy Quinn State Park, MS, February 25-27, 2005

Christ Church, Slidell sponsors Boy Scout Troop 98. This weekend, they camped out at Percy Quin State Park in Mississippi.

Spelling Bee Tryouts, February 27, 2005

Following an EYC Spaghetti dinner, Christ Church held tryouts to select a team to compete in the Woody Woodside Spelling Bee on April 28th. The team is sponsored by the Men's Club . Shiela MacArthur, John Pfeifer, and Gus Michel were selected for the team, with Jim Epperson and Cecile Torbergsen as alternates.

Bishop's Visitation and Confirmation September 5, 2004

Bishop Jenkins performed one Baptism, Seventeen Confirmations, Six Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows, and Recieved one into the Episcopal Church. Unfortunately, the photo-op of Bishop Jenkins with all the celebrities never developed -- did anyone get a picture of him? Parish Picnic May 16, 2004

Due to recent heavy rain, the parish picnic was relocated from Heritage park to Comfort Hall. As a result, we had a picnic with no ants (at least not that I noticed!). But, as you can see, we had plenty of picnic foods, including watermelon. And there was certainly no rain-out of fellowship!
