Events List for February 2009

Sunday, February 1, 2009: Holy Eucharist , Rite I . There is usually organ accompaniment for the hymns and service music, but no choir. The nursery is usually NOT available for this service. 8:00am - 9:00am, Worship; Pancake Breakfast , hosted by the Men's Club in Comfort Hall. All the pancakes you care to eat, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit kabobs, grits with butter and/or shredded cheese, orange juice, and coffee for just $5.00 per person. Proceeds support sending our youth to Camp Hardtner, the annual Parish Picnic, and other Men's club sponsored events. 8:45am - 10:15am, Fellowship; The Nursery is open for programs between the services and the 10:30 service. 9:00am - 12:00pm, Youth/Children; The Choir Practices most Sundays at this time in the Sanctuary. On Second Sundays, the Celebration Band practices. 9:15am - 10:15am, Committee/Program; Christian Formation for all ages. Pre-K through 2nd grade meet in the classroom between Comfort Hall and the nursery. Grades 3-12 meet in various rooms in Wheeler House. An adult class is held in Comfort Hall as other activities permit. 9:15am - 10:15am, Formation/Bible Study; Holy Eucharist , Rite II . Except on the second Sunday of each month (when we do contemorary music) and other special occasions, such as baptism, Children ages 3 to 10 are invited to go to Children's Worship following the greetings. They return at the Peace. Nursery available. 10:30am - 12:00pm, Worship; Hospitality Hour Join us following the 10:30 Eucharist for coffee, punch, snacks, and conversation. 11:45am - 12:45pm, Fellowship

Tuesday, February 3, 2009: English as a Second Language Class , by St. Tammany Literacy Assistance, in Wheeler House. 9:30am, Hosted Events; The Girl Scouts meet in Comfort Hall. 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Hosted Events; English as a Second Language class, offered by the St. Tammany Literacy Assistance program in Wheeler House. 6:30pm, Hosted Events; The Men's Club meets monthly in Comfort Hall. . Dinner is $5.00. Drinks are $1.00. 7:00pm - 9:00pm, Committee/Program
Wednesday, February 4, 2009: Bible Study Starting Wed., 9-24-08, the group will begin the study of the Gospel of Luke, followed by The Acts of the Apostles.
