The 2004 EFM Class
EFM is intended to provide lay persons with the education needed to carry out the ministry to which every baptized person is called. It is an intensive curriculum, demanding considerable investment of time and energy on a consistent basis for nine months each year. The entire program requires four such academic cycles to complete, leading to a certificate in Theological Education by Extension from St. Luke's School of Theology, the University of the South, Sewanee, TN.
This seminar group meets September through May for weekly sessions of three hours of reflection after individual home study that averages about four hours per week. Because Louisiana is a sponsoring diocese, reduced tuition for the course is $265 per year.
