This traditional ministry within the Church is an opportunity to
serve God and christ Church by assisting in the preparation of the
Altar, and caring for the linens, and communion vessels for the
various liturgies.
The Jr. Altar Guild is open to young persons (ages 10 and up)
interested in the care and preparation of the altar and who exhibit
a curiosity to learn church rituals. From September to mid-June, JAG
members are assigned to cleanse the altar under the supervision of
an adult Altar Guild member following the 10:30a.m.service. In addition,
they assist in the Stripping of the Altar on Maundy Thursday of Holy
Week.
