Parish News and Notes

The Annual Parish Meeting

for 2009 will be held on the evening of Saturday, January 17th. We will begin with a parish family dinner (provided at no charge) at 6 p.m., then start the meeting about 6:45. We will review the past year and elect four members to the Vestry for a 3-year term. There will also be a program for the young people.
If you wish to nominate a parishoner to the vestry, you may use the form at vestrynom.htm , or in writing to the office, Fr, Ernie, or David Daigle, the senior warden. Vestry nominees should answer the questions at vestryqs.htm .

Lenten Meditation Book

Once again, CECS will be compiling forty-seven meditations by our parishoners into a meditation book for Lent 2009. If you wish to contribute, please contact Wes McComb for your daily assignment(s). Our previous Lenten and Advent books are available from the Forms and Publications Page . If you think reading them is enlightening, try writing one!

2009-2010 Meeting Space at CECS

If your parish program or outside organization would like to use (or continue to use) our facilities for your meetings, please check with the office to make sure your space is reserved for 2009-2010. All outside organizations are also asked to complete the Meeting Request Form available in print form at the office or online as a Microsoft Word Document or an Adobe PDF Document .

John Stevenson

Do you have time to lend a hand? Help Christ Church continue to make a difference in John and Marky Stevenson's lives! If you have a few hours to spare during the week, John conitinues to need daytime companions to lend a hand and make sure that all is well. Please sign up on the volunteer calendar located on the table by the phone in Comfort Hall.

Our food bank

is always finding need. Please remember the food bags on your next trip to the grocery store. Christ Church distributes approximately two to three bags of much needed food per week. Please remember to bring at least one IFU (International Food Unit) with you to church each month. Monetary donations for the food bank are also appreciated. See the list of contents for the bags.
