Christian Education 2013-14

Meets at 9:30, through the Peace in the middle of the 10:30 service.

C.E. is part of the Episcopal Youth Community (EYC), alternate Sundays at 6:30 to 8:15 pm

Meets 10am Wednesdays in Morgan Library
Education for Ministry
EFMis a graduate-level program to prepare each adult to carry out his or her particular ministry. Monday Evenings at 7-10pm.

Carol Lanoux

passed to the Greater Kingdom about 3:30 Tuesday morning. Services for her will be at Honacker on @HWY@ 190, with visitation at noon, followed by a 1pm service. In addition to her work at CECS with the ECWand Altar Guild, Carol worked for the City of Slidell before retiring and has other connections with the Lions Club and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Our prayers go out for Carol and all of her family and friends.

Lenten Fish Fry is reschedued to April 4th at 5:30pm due to severe thunderstorms!

The Men's Club will host its annual Lenten Fish Fry this Friday. $10 gets you fried fish, garlic smashed potatoes, cole slaw, french bread, and a choice of dessert, for takeout or dine-in. We will also be selling soft drinks, beer, and wine for $1 per soft drink, $2 per beer or glass of wine. This event helps fund Summer Camp scholarships and other Men's Club projects.

Acolytes Needed!

We are in need of acolytes between the ages of 10 and 18 (and their parents) who are willing to commit to a monthly service at 8am or 10:30am. All events are rotated monthly and your schedule can be accomodated. If interested, please contact the church office by e-mail or phone at 985-643-4531.

Holy Eucharist , Rite I . There is usually organ accompaniment for the hymns and service music, but no choir. The nursery is usually NOT available for this service , 8:00am
The Nursery is open, 9:00 to noon , 9:00am
Pancake Breakfast , cooked and served by the Men's Club. $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, fruit kabobs, coffee, and juice. Net proceeds benefit Camp Hardtner tuition and other Men's Club projects. , 9:10am

Lenten Supper and Program On Wednesday evenings during Lent, we will have a light supper followed by a special program on prayer and spiritual practices, then end the evening with Compline. All are invited to come and bring a friend. There will be a sign up sheet in the hall to indicate who is bringing food each week. This is a great way to prepare for Easter. , 6:00pm
